The 25-year-old ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer is so loved up with fiance Russell Brand she told Rolling Stone magazine she is ditching the fun, flirty lyrics of her hit first album ‘One Of The Boys’, and her new album is 50 per cent love songs.
Katy said: “I want to evolve like Madonna - if I had to be the fruity pin-up girl another day, I would jump off the Hollywood sign.”
She also revealed the songs on her new album, which see her re-team with producers Dr Luk and Max Martin, explores “my faith, my conviction and awe of the supernatural world”.
But Katy, who agreed to marry former party-loving lothario Russell, 34, after a whilrwind romance and a proposal at the Taj Mahal, hasn’t completely toned down her act.
The Prince-inspired track Dressing Up, includes the lyrics “You wanna pet my kitty?”, “You’re such a dirty doggy” and “My cookie monster wants a taste”.
Katy protested: “I think those lyrics are cute!”
